This is one of my favorites:

Two mathematicians that are long time friends meet.
-"What are the ages of your three sons?"
-"The product of their ages is 36 and the sum of their ages is today's date."
-"That doesn't tell me the ages of your sons."
-"My fault, my youngest son has red hair."
-"Ah, now I know the ages of your sons."

How does he know? (Show work if you can figure it out)
