I see where you're going and you've got the right idea, but there are two clues that don't quite fit this (although one is iffy).

You're definitely thinking correctly, though.

a crane game? Not sure is this is the actual name, but the big glass enclosure where you control a crane/claw and try to drop it on a prize.

Besides the obvious stuff, these are parts the other answers haven't quite gotten:

You have to wait and look around to find the top-scoring target.

They often swing up from under the scenery.

You have to hit the target just right in order to knock it over.
