A nation preps its children for fight
In duos, formation assume
With sundered shields, dispersing in fright
Thus routed, they head to their doom

Another state sends troops by the score
Platoons on their way to the field
Forsake their spirits, fighting this war
Near naked, no chance but to yield

With fight commenced, both armies are crushed
A sword marks the end of their routes
Third holy might, to meet them they've rushed
Embracing the fallen recruits

All that Witch of Doubt says is correct. But there's something specific I have in mind and have left some clues for, which I think fits significantly more soundly than eggs, bacon, and OJ.
