Those are actually the lines that made me think of it. I was putting up a fence last month (or the month before) and had poor quality screws. Have you ever tried to drill in a bent or damaged screw? It doesn't work very well. =(

@Mo Mo....no i have not tried to put up a fence lately....sry but yh i get it now... kinda matches the meaning of the second stanza... i think.. otherwise i have that one wrong too which would be bad -__-' we seem to have lost another one to the pro solver ... you guys should be banned from riddles till like a few more guess... give us lesser solvers a chance

Yep, that's how I like it

Edit: The last stanza is talking about screws where the groove that the screwdriver sits in has been worn out, so the screwdriver can no longer get a grip and the screw can no longer be removed from whatever it's embedded in. They're commonly referred to as screws that have been "stripped"

I work in construction too and that didn't even cross my mind.
