Not baseball, due to the clue about a naked victim hiding.
Neither shooting cans, too much like actual sniping from the title.
Nor an eagle, for if a rabbit were to dive into a burrow, or a fish dive deep underwater to escape (for instance), it wouldn't be akin to going to a grave.
