The gender-neutral 3rd person pronoun traveled back in time to warn us of the dangers of trying to pat your head & rub your stomach at the same time - but the gender-neutral 3rd person pronoun was too late. The Muppets had already warned us, & when we ignored their wisdom an entire generation of children were confounded & confuzzled, creating a cascade of ignorance resulting in Twilight fans & Believers.
