Before I start- I don't know the answer for this one and I don't know if there is any, though I believe there is.
Anyway, the question is: "is it possible to slice the shape on the image into 4 identical shapes such that each shape will include one blue square and one red square?"

Well, I kinda see your point. However, the idea is not to change the position of the red and blue squares.

And the solution is:
It is actually much easier than I've imagined. The downloadable image below shows the solution. For the sake of convenience I changed the red squares with the letter R and the blue ones with B and colored the shapes...
