the barber with the bad hair cut and messy shop. He is obviously too busy to clean up and much like the impractical nature of self dentistry, so is cutting your own hair.

the west shop. wouldnt you? i think this is a trick question to get u to think outside the box. Based on the information most people would go better quality unless it was a inconvience.

its simple. if there are only 2 barber shops and one has a messy shop and haircut but the other has a neat shop and a stylish haircut, there's only one humanly possible solution. they cut each other's hair. so the traveler would and should go to the eastern barber who's known for his messy shop and haircut.

There is a minor flaw in the answer.
The premise of the question is that there are only two barbershops in town. It does not say that there are only two barbers.
Perhaps each barber shop has two barbers. During down time, barber #2 in each shop gives barber #1 in the same shop shop a haircut.
After the hair cut, it is the responsibility of barber #2 in each shop to clean up. Barber #2 in the East shop is a lazy bum who can't cut hair very well.
Making assumptions will get you every time!

anybody who says you cant cut your own hair is wrong. i myself and several other people i know cut our own hair just as well as any barber shop could. i cut fade and edge up my own hair. its really not that difficult.
