(7*7)+7+7+1 = 100

BTW, it's octal <!-- s:) --><!-- s:) -->

Yeah, I thought of 77/7/7 +1 base 8 = 100 and 77/1 + 7/7 = 100... which is the same thing in octal. Curse you computer science! :lol:

100 - Back to the Number Puzzles

Using four sevens (7) and a one (1) create the number 100. Except (Edit: In addition to) the five numerals you can use the usual mathematical operations +, -, x, :, root and brackets ().

100 - solution

100 = 177-77 = (7+7)x(7+(1:7))

I do not know other solutions.

The number 100 already exists. I can't create it.

(7*(7+7)) = 98

+ root7 = 100.64...

- 1 = 99.64... = 100(3sf)

That doesn't work because you need exactly 100, not approximations. Good try though, I can't get one yet. lol :lol::lol:

I found a third solution:

(77/.77)^1=100

My answer is: (7²+1)((7+7)/7) = 100

(49+1)(14/2) = 100

50x2 = 100

I thought inverting the 7's was sheer genius

U cant use that opperation

called concentation???

but u cant combine numbers like that
